Sending a lil love

Valentines Day is just around the corner and most of us small businesses are in the thick of making and selling for the big day of love. I feel like I was pretty late to come up with ideas; I spied with my lil eye a lot of small businesses launching at the end of December, I was still sprawled on the sofa with a rotund belly consisting mainly of cheese and crackers!

This is my first year acknowledging Valentines for MuckyDucky, I've never really been someone who throws themselves all in for this particular holiday. My partner and I have been together for 11 years this year, although we were friends for a good 10 years before we pulled ourselves together and became an item, that being said, we don't usually buy each other cards or gifts for valentines (or maybe I've just stopped expecting it!)

As wonderful it is to have that one day a year where you say 'I love you' with cards, flowers and gifts, I do believe it is the small things throughout a lifetime together that says it more. Making a cup of tea, letting them have the last piece of cake, putting the kids to bed so the other can have some down time, getting a take away so the other doesn't have to cook, all little things to say, 'I Love you'.

So, whilst thinking of all the usual cherubs and declarations of eternal love, I realised we need to be doing lil acts of love more often. Therefore, I created the 'Sending A Lil Love' collection.

It is a collection of illustrated cards which can be sent to anyone for anything; send the flowers bouquet design for mother's day, valentines, to say thank you or 'Get well soon'. Send the best friends design to your bestie, or for Galentines, or just to say 'I'm here for you, lean on me for a lil bit'. Send the postbox to someone you love or needs a lil love sent. Send the heart drop cloud to brighten someone's day, to send a smile!

They are designed to be so versatile, because at the end of the day, we know relationships come in all shapes and meanings, and they go through storms as well as sunshine.
